Meadowside Bed and Breakfast is situated less than 1 mile from Berkeley Town and Berkeley Castle, between junctions 13 and 14 of the M5, on the A38 and is open all year round. Cyclists are welcomed with a secure storage facility for their bikes.
Meadowside is set in a semi rural location with approximately 2 acres of land. We are ideally situated for tourists wishing to explore the countryside, visit places of interest and specical events. As it has easy access to the M5 it provides a good overnight stop for business people travelling north and south. As a result of its location in relation to Bristol, the M4 to London and South Wales are within easy reach.
Meadowside is owned and run by Pat and Julie. We provide a friendly, personal and relaxed atmosphere to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We have recently added additional rooms to the existing accommodation, which has stylish, contemporary furnishings and decoration throughout.
Guest Comment: "It really is a home from home! Very nice, warming."
You can expect a warm welcome on arrival when you will be served with afternoon tea on the patio or in the dining room, looking out onto the paddock. We have a collection of Kune Kune Pigs, Pygmy Goats, Gloucester Old Spots,as well as Chickens which provide Meadowside with fresh free range eggs. Where possible sausages, jams and marmalade are home made and we use local seasonal produce when available.
We will be more than happy to show you around. You can enjoy grooming the pigs, feeding the animals, collecting your eggs for breakfast or to take away with you. You can even lend a hand with the chores if you wish! Fresh seaonal produce is also available to purchase. Packed lunches are available on request for cyclists and walkers at a small additional cost.
